I've always been a carpenter and joiner. 

When I started living on the river Tamar on my boat, I was lucky enough to get some work in boatyard next to my mooring. It was a fantastic opportunity to expand on my skills. I spent most of the winter, two days a week, working in The Shed on a motor sailor. 

It has left me in a great position to work on my own boat and to earn a few extra pounds.  

I'm not a shipwright and I don't know everything about boats but I am a carpenter and joiner who has worked for over 25 years in the field.
